DESIGN THINKING
We believe in creating holistic environments -treating both the exterior and interior of the built environment as one. Hence our two-fold emphasis on architecture and interior architecture. We want to create environments that are a pleasure to be in. We do diverse building typologies from bespoke residential houses to multi-unit housing estates, hotels, lodges, apartments, hospitals, commercial buildings, go-downs, schools and religious buildings.
OUR WORKFLOW
Our workflow is organic, like a flowing river, meandering across ideas, challenges and uncertainties but ultimately leading to a final destination, the built form.
Each project deserves its story to be told. A story based on aspirations, context, challenges and the effort made to deliver a promise.
Projects start as ideas of intent, develop into conceptual ideas that test the intents, are then further developed to a viable, buildable design that meets a client’s aspirations, by laws and budgets.
CASE STUDIES
Dusit D2
2 of the office blocks at 14 Riverside were converted to accommodate a 150-room business hotel. Our scope was to design the hotel and its ancillary facilities and oversee the construction.
Phenom Estate
Cluster planning was at the heart of this 230 unit housing estate in Langata, Nairobi. By creating clusters of 20 to 24 units the estate becomes more manageable to build and run.
Kenya Arab
The Society has planned a comprehensive Islamic Cultural Centre in the heart of Hurlingham. The first phase included the Mosque and Madrasa. The second phase will have the cultural centre, multipurpose hall and some commercial facilities.
